Creating a Google account this way does not create a new Gmail inbox. It simply lets you use your existing email address to sign in to Google services, including the private MTBDR27 Rider Hub.
You do not need a Gmail address to access the private Rider Hub. You can create a Google account using your existing email address, such as iCloud, Outlook, Yahoo, work email, or another personal email.
Go to the Google Account sign-in page.
Select Create account (see example below).
Choose For my personal use.
Enter your name and basic information.
When Google asks you to create or choose a Gmail address, look for the option that says something like:
Use your existing email
or
Use my current email address instead
Enter the email address you want to use for Rider Hub access.
Example:
yourname@icloud.com
yourname@outlook.com
yourname@yahoo.com
yourname@yourdomain.com
Google will send a verification code to that email address.
Open your email, find the Google verification message, and copy the code.
Enter the code on the Google account setup page.
Create a password for your new Google account and finish the setup steps.
Send the trip organizer the same email address you used for the Google account.
Once that email is added to the private Rider Hub, go to the public MTBDR page, click Enter MTBDR27 Rider Hub, and sign in with that Google account.
What to click when go to the Google Account sign-in page.
